Official Rules for 2009 Football Pool
Play-Off Pool:
All playoff teams are eligible to be picked, regardless if the player had picked them during the regular season. The slate is wiped clean. However, once again, the teams picked are then eliminated from being picked further in the Playoffs, just like in the regular season.
It is Single Elimination, one Strike and you are out.
You must pick one team for EACH DAY there are games during the Playoffs. The Playoff schedule is as follows:
First Weekend (January 9-10): Wildcard Weekend-
Two games on Saturday (total of 4 teams eligible to be picked)
Two games Sunday (total of 4 teams eligible to be picked)
Second Weekend (January 16-17): Divisional Playoffs-
Two games on Saturday (total of 4 teams eligible to be picked*)
Two games Sunday (total of 4 teams eligible to be picked*)
Third Weekend (January 24): AFC/NFC Championship Games-
Two games on Sunday (total of 4 teams eligible to be picked*)
Fourth Weekend (February 7): Super Bowl-
One game on Sunday (two teams to pick from*)
* - Excluding those teams previously picked by the player. It may be possible for a player to have used up all their eligible teams before the Super Bowl. In that case they are eliminated.
Tie breaker should 2 or more players pick the same team for the Super Bowl:
A: Total Points scored by both teams
B: First player to submit pick should Total Points be tied.
